The homes we work in here
Stillwater splits between grand historic homes near the river, with Victorian framing, sloped ceilings, and staircases that have stories, and newer builds up on the bluffs carrying big primary suites from the 1990s and 2000s. Both reward a layout-first builder: the historic homes because nothing in them is square, and the bluff homes because the rooms are large enough that a bad layout shows from the doorway.
Character homes get character-level respect. We design around original details worth keeping, plan tile layouts that handle imperfect walls honestly, and protect century-old floors from the entry to the bathroom threshold.
